Introduction to Yoga
A Six-Week Series

This progressive, six-week series is designed to give you the basics of yogic body awareness, and the poses that make up the foundation of a well-rounded yoga practice. You will also begin to build strength and flexibility, as well as learning to modify poses for your body, integrating any injuries or limitations.

Intro Series vs. Leveled Classes

If you aren't sure whether a series class or a drop-in class is more appropriate for you, here are a couple of things you can think about:

  ° do I like to learn things from the ground up (Intro) or just jump in and swim (All levels/Level 1)?

  ° do I have any injuries or serious limitations that might require more personal attention (Intro)?

  ° am I comfortable being in a class with people who might have more experience than I do (leveled classes), or is it easier when we're "in the same boat" (Intro)?
