Life (and yoga) after Intro. This class is suitable for students who have completed an Introduction to Yoga series and are ready to build on that foundation while exploring the practice further.
Taught by Dariece Warren.
Gentle Yoga and Meditation (a.k.a.“Sacred Sunday”)Experience the calm, stability, focus and joy that meditation and yoga can bring. Enjoy gentle, slow meditative postures and transitions, visualization, body awareness, breathing techniques, and chanting to cleanse and nourish the body, mind and heart. Class will include longer periods of meditation. Taught by Rhonda Slota.
Moksha Monday Free your mind and the rest will follow! Letting go of old beliefs and discovering the surprises within and around you may be your path to moksha, the Sanskrit word for emancipation. We’ll build on the primary poses essential to a well rounded practice while proceeding in an exploration of intermediate to advanced poses. Dive in deep both physically and mentally. Taught by Dariece Warren.
Restorative Yoga Got Stress? Get Restorative. In this supported, slow, quiet practice, we’ll use props such as bolsters, blocks and blankets to support the body in various poses, encouraging deep relaxation and healing. Restorative Yoga can also be beneficial for injury recovery, chronic fatigue, preparing for childbirth, and much more. Uncover the relaxed person within; your loved ones will thank you! Taught by Dariece Warren.
Sattva Saturday Discover the balanced union of body, mind and heart through poses, breath work and meditative flow. Sattva is a Sanskrit word that describes the state of attention without tension: a balance between effort and effortlessness, between rising to a challenge and simply letting go. Move from stress, stiffness, agitation and worry to centeredness, calmness and deep inner peace. Taught by Rhonda Slota.
Yin Flow Class begins with seated poses, held longer to encourage a deep stretch in the connective tissue; moves to strength based asana (poses) and incorporates flowing transitions. Physically challenging and calming, this class invites you to take the time to deepen awareness of your yoga practice, body and life. Taught by Dariece Warren.
This introspective class with emphasis on deep stretches for the joints and connective tissue will prepare your body and train your mind for seated meditation. Class concludes with meditation. Taught by Dariece Warren.
Drawing from various styles of yoga and incorporating favorite aspects from each, this mixed levels class is intended to strengthen your body, increase your flexibility and improve your health. Classes are often thematic; routinely include breath work and simple meditation, and always a restful savasana (extended relaxation). Taught by Dariece Warren.
