Dariece Warren took her first yoga class because she needed help with managing stress, wanted relief from back pain and secretly dreamed of touching her toes again. Many years later she is still practicing and learning and has happily added teaching to her yoga love list. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance and certified at the 500 hour level. Dariece has completed numerous teacher trainings in a variety of Hatha Yoga styles including Svastha, Vinyasa Flow, Restorative and Yin. She has studied in the U.S. and in India with A.G. and Indra Mohan, two of Krishnamacharya's students during the last 18 years of his life. Dariece is currently studying yoga therapy with Dr. Ganesh Mohan through Svastha Yoga and Ayurveda. She enjoys teaching students of all levels and emphasizes proper alignment and focused breathing in all of her classes so students get the most benefit from each pose and develop greater self-awareness. Arlene Ganir-Martinez is a certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher and a member of the Kripalu Yoga Teachers Association. She enjoys teaching yoga to diverse populations and invites her students to use their breath as a way of healing and meditation. Arlene's yoga journey began in 2005, curious about what yoga was and hoping to get healthier. Her practice blossomed because of nurturing and supportive yoga teachers at Yoga4Ewa in Hawaii and Savannah Yoga Center in Georgia. Yoga became a sacred space for Arlene to heal and nourish herself from her career as a social worker. The more dedicated she was to her yoga practice, the more present she could be for the youth and families she worked with. In November 2010, Arlene attended yoga teacher training at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, Massachusetts, and studied under Devarshi Steven Hartman and Megha Nancy Buttenheim. At Kripalu, she learned how to provide a yoga class experience that can be transformational by integrating body, mind and spirit. Arlene hopes that you will join her on the journey of yoga, so that you can discover what yoga means to you.
